Little Traditions

Everybody has traditions. I don't care who it is, but I know everybody has them. By tradition, I don't only mean going to your Aunt's house on Thanks Giving, or opening one present on Christmas Eve. It could be anything. It can be a tradition that has lasted for generations or a tradition that you're starting in your own generation. You could have traditions yearly, weekly, or maybe even daily.  My family and I had many of them, but now days those things we do year roundly are fading off and we only have half of them now. My sister, cousin and I have a traditional drink. There isn't one weekend we don't have ice tea when she visits. My mom and I always make my sister banana pancakes on her birthday when she wakes up. It's our tradition to hang my great great grandmother's angel ornaments on our Christmas tree. My family might have forgotten some things that others missed, but we never forget the little things. My family will never forget to say I love you to eachother when someone leaves. This blog is meant to help you notice all of the little traditions you carry around with you.

When I Was Younger

When I was younger I believed in the tooth fairy, Santa Claus, and even the Easter bunny. I didnt have much knowledge but I still watched and listened to people, and studied how they walked, talked, sang, and solved problems. It was amazing then, when you had nothing to worry about. When you had so much to learn. And when you saw things in a totally different manner. Lots of things changed since then. I've grown and become slightly more responsible. I haven't solved all of my problems, or have learned everything I need to, but I am still the same person as I was then. You may think everything has changed, and most things have, but you need to realize everything that has stayed the same as well. Some people act as though they are always a child, but they need to grow up, even as terrible as that may sound. I am still young and have a life ahead of me with series of different opportunities, but some things about me will never change. I will always love, and always believe that wishes and dreams do come true. I will always believe that some things still carry magic, and that people can have a happy ever after. We just have to work hard to get to where we want to go.

My Sister

If you have an older sister than you know just like mine they can be horrible, wonderful, halarious, and good advice givers, or you can describe them in a whole different way, but my sister is my absolute best friend. We talk about everything together and she is who brightens up a bad day, but not everything is perfect. We can get on each others nerves sometimes and we can say horrible things to each other. But all in all, we turn out to always forgive one another. Some of my friends have no idea what a close sister is and I think that they should really get to know their syblings. Maybe my sister and I are close only because of our close age, or maybe it's because we just have always had a great time together. My sister is really the best thing I have ever had.
