My Weekend At The Getty

This weekend I went to the Getty Museum with my family. If you haven't been there, I really recommend it because it's amazing there. My cousin, sister, and I walked into the museum and every time you see it inside, you lose your breathe because it's so beautiful. My favorite part is the garden, and every time I go there, I sit on a bench and take in the fresh air. I love walking under the arches with flowers and vines growing around them. It's also interesting to look at all of the ancient books and jewelry that they have set out for people to see. Of course all of the art and books are amazing, but when you stand outside and look at the view, your heart almost stops. You can see the city and the ocean and it's so gorgeous that you want to cry. I think we took a thousand pictures of it. I think the museum is a great place and I hope you enjoyed this blog.

That's Life

Today I am going to talk about life. I know, you already might want to turn away and go watch your favorite show, but if you would like to stay and read this weeks blog, you're welcome to. So, people might need to work hard to become successful, and others are born into success. People might give up, and there are those who keep trying. That also goes for love. People usually give up on it, but than again people usually never stop fighting for it. Well, to be honest, in all of my twelve years, I don't know the real meaning of life. My secret so far is to just believe. Belive and work hard for what I need. Oh, and what I mentioned before. Love. That's the one thing you can always count on in life, if your in a relationship, or if it's your family. You can always count on that if you don't know where to turn in a point of your life.Well that's it. This isn't a very long blog, but I wanted to share it with you. I'll see you next week, and I hope you have a wonderful night or day.

Little Traditions

Everybody has traditions. I don't care who it is, but I know everybody has them. By tradition, I don't only mean going to your Aunt's house on Thanks Giving, or opening one present on Christmas Eve. It could be anything. It can be a tradition that has lasted for generations or a tradition that you're starting in your own generation. You could have traditions yearly, weekly, or maybe even daily.  My family and I had many of them, but now days those things we do year roundly are fading off and we only have half of them now. My sister, cousin and I have a traditional drink. There isn't one weekend we don't have ice tea when she visits. My mom and I always make my sister banana pancakes on her birthday when she wakes up. It's our tradition to hang my great great grandmother's angel ornaments on our Christmas tree. My family might have forgotten some things that others missed, but we never forget the little things. My family will never forget to say I love you to eachother when someone leaves. This blog is meant to help you notice all of the little traditions you carry around with you.

When I Was Younger

When I was younger I believed in the tooth fairy, Santa Claus, and even the Easter bunny. I didnt have much knowledge but I still watched and listened to people, and studied how they walked, talked, sang, and solved problems. It was amazing then, when you had nothing to worry about. When you had so much to learn. And when you saw things in a totally different manner. Lots of things changed since then. I've grown and become slightly more responsible. I haven't solved all of my problems, or have learned everything I need to, but I am still the same person as I was then. You may think everything has changed, and most things have, but you need to realize everything that has stayed the same as well. Some people act as though they are always a child, but they need to grow up, even as terrible as that may sound. I am still young and have a life ahead of me with series of different opportunities, but some things about me will never change. I will always love, and always believe that wishes and dreams do come true. I will always believe that some things still carry magic, and that people can have a happy ever after. We just have to work hard to get to where we want to go.

My Sister

If you have an older sister than you know just like mine they can be horrible, wonderful, halarious, and good advice givers, or you can describe them in a whole different way, but my sister is my absolute best friend. We talk about everything together and she is who brightens up a bad day, but not everything is perfect. We can get on each others nerves sometimes and we can say horrible things to each other. But all in all, we turn out to always forgive one another. Some of my friends have no idea what a close sister is and I think that they should really get to know their syblings. Maybe my sister and I are close only because of our close age, or maybe it's because we just have always had a great time together. My sister is really the best thing I have ever had.

The Most Beautiful Sunset

I don't need to wonder what the most beautiful sunset looks like anymore. I don't need to wonder because I've seen it. This weekend my sister and I went to go visit my aunt. Before we went to her house we were going to go on a hike up to eagle rock in Topanga. It took half an hour to get up there and it was pretty tiring. I was really glad it wasn't hot that day. By the time we got up there it was sunset and the sky was full of colors. We climbed to the very tip of the rock and just took a minute to sit there. The clouds looked as though somebody smeared them across the sky. The sun was sinking down behind the mountains and it lit up the sky in a way that you would imagine only described in a fary tale. When you looked behind you, you could see the ocean and there were already stars beginning to show. Straight forward you could almost see the earth curving. It kind of looked like outer space if you really thought about it. It was really one of the most beautiful things I've ever experienced. And one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen.

Some Simple Halloween Costumes

If you don't have your Halloween costume picked out yet, and you just want to have a nice and simple costume that looks great and that you adore, then here are some ideas. The first are animals. For a rabbit, go out and buy simple bunny ears if you don't already have some. Next, pick out a plain dress, I would usually recommend a black dress because it will match anything. Next, take a beanie that has a big puff ball at the tip and cut it off. Safety pin it to the back of your dress, and your a rabbit! You can do this with really any kind of animal, like a fox, wolf, cat, etc. For something more traditional, like a witch, get a witch hat( which you will most likely have from a while ago) and striped sox with any type of dress. At the end of every simple costume, paint your face, or do your makeup. I hope this blog have you some ideas for simple Halloween costumes.

My Weekend

Everybody has one of those days where you crack up, either if it's with your sister, brother, or even your grandmother. For me it isn't very rare to have a night like that because I have a sister that is practically my best friend. On Friday night we went to our cousins house. We also invited a friend over and the first thing we did was we went to go swim. Not long after we got out and couldn't really think of anything to do, so we got out a deck of cards and started playing Kent. If you don't know what that is, then you should really play it some time, because I guarentee you, you'll play it for hours. We played it for a while and then went to eat dinner. When we were done we went back to play cards until about 10:45 until we saw something. A cockroach crawling across the wood floor. When I wasn't expecting it, my cousin ran out of the living room and when she came back she had a clear glass bowl in her hands. She slowly put it over the cockroach and slid a paper under it. Then she taped the paper to the bowl so it wouldn't fall off. She ran outside with the bowl in her hands and let it go. When she came back into the house, she soaked the bowl in soap and hot water. Afterwards we just sat back down and finished playing cards.

My Weekend At The Brewery

The Brewery is somewhere you can go to look at different types of art. It used to be a factory but after it closed down it turned into different apartments where artists live. Every now and then there's a day where everybody who lives at the Brewery opens their doors and they invite people to come in and look at their art that they put up on the walls. That's exactly what I did during my weekend with my grandparents, sister, and my cousin. We went in and out of different creative apartments, and there was all different kinds of art from lamps, to paintings, to sculptures, to photos, etc. My favorite part about it was seeing how many people came to look at everything. It was so packed, there had to be at least thirty people in each apartment. The whole day was a very fun experience and will be very exited if I can go the next time they are showing their art.

My First Week Of Middle School

When I was in fith grade I was so excited to go to middle school. My sister had told me how wonderful it had been for her and it got me more and more happy as the weeks led up to the first day of school. I wanted to do everything like having a locker and getting to decorate it and having different periods with different teachers, but when the first day came, I realized it's not much of a picnic. The fist day of school was the worst. I spent hours waiting in a long line and sitting in the        M.P.R. When it was over I had to get to my first class, but just like anybody else, I got lost. When I reached my math class I had realized I didn't know anybody that went to the school. It took a couple of days before I really got to know people. Walking through the halls were interesting to me. I was smaller and new to the fact that kids would  run into me like a stampede. Though as the days went by I had gotten used to my schedule and my locker and getting to each class in under six minutes. The first week wasn't really much of what I had expected, but it turned out to be fun, interesting, and horrible at the same time.

My Plan for the Future

Recently I figured out my plan for the future. I want to graduate high school with a full scholarship and take a year off before I go to college. When that year is over I am going to attend Cambrige University and study to become an architect in the United Kingdom. When all of my learning and stressing is over, I am going to come back to California and design buildings and houses. My dream is to create a building that everybody will remember, like the  Eiffel Tower. Until I have enough money to rent a house or apartment, I want to get a house with my sister, Aubrey, and my cousin, Maggie. Even though I have lots of things planned out for myself, I don't know if anything will work out the way I want it to. As everybody knows, you can't see or be in the future. Only the present, but if I work hard, I can make it there.
